new leaves of spring, lifeless by a late frost. TN 2007.
To have all see through my eyes. To have all feel as I do. To have all appreciate my view. My personal fascination with the beautiful and delicate skeletal structure of a dying leaf is what I wish to share with all. The leaves possess such a fluid grace they appear as though they are in water. To enhance the emotions and obtain a new view on an everyday leaf, the following images were taken in a negative setting. A leaf becomes colorful, peaceful, dreamy, whimsical and comforting. The real is made surreal.
Born and raised in New Orleans until I was washed away by Mother Nature herself (Hurricane Katrina). My husband, two children and myself currently reside in Tennessee. After loosing most everything in the storm, I find peace in yoga, work and with nature. Driven by experiences and inspired by outings in the mountains, at the beach and in my hometown, New Orleans.
